Getting Stamped

Stamped concrete that is!

This was a summer of many outdoor improvement projects. Redashing the house (AKA new stucco), lots of landscaping and garden work, and, possibly the coolest of all: a concrete patio. We went with stamped concrete to give it a little texture and added color so it wasn’t too similar to the gray stucco.

There were many color options to choose from, so I used an exterior paint visualizer tool by Benjamin Moore. This technology is awesome! It allows you to upload your own picture and “paint” the image in their paint colors. It really helps picture how everything will come together.

It took one day of prep to dig out the grass and dirt, then level the area. Then one day to pour and set the concrete. After a waiting period of 72 hours to be sure everything was dry & rock solid, the patio furniture could finally come out and play!
