Every surface in the kitchen except for the floor is new drywall. Drywall installation is tricky and it’s very important that you know what you’re doing before you begin. For those non-manual reading folks out there– make an exception this time! I found this site to be helpful: www.drywalltips.org/
Make sure you plastic of areas that are not being dry walled. This stuff sheds dust when it gets sanded — a necessary but evil step. You’ll be finding dust for a long while anyway, but it’s less of a disaster if you have a dust blocker.
What a difference! The kitchen no longer feels like a cavernous wood cabin. Next items up are when the big visual changes happen: priming and painting.
